Oceamides® is an alternative to synthetic ceramide NP to increase moisture and skin firmness while reducing skin fatigue (demonstrated by two clinical assays). Wrinkles attenuation after 28 days are evidenced.

Oceamides® contains natural ceramide NP, natural ceramide NS and natural bioactive lipids such as phosphatidylcholine, triglycerides and diglycerides coming from the microalga Nannochloropsis oculata. It is inspired by human epidermal lipids as those lipids can be found not only in the cell structure of that microalga, but also in the human cell skin barrier. These lipids are crucial for maintaining a healthy skin barrier.

We demonstrated that Oceamides® boosts the skin barrier function by increasing its integrity, protection and regeneration in an in vitro study using a reconstructed human epidermal model.

Overcoming market challenges around ceramides, Oceamides® is based on natural ceramides for skin barrier with marine microalgae origin, to be incorporated in oily-free products and creams and user-friendly (room temperature formulation). It is a natural alternative to synthetic ceramide NP for skin barrier.
